The default setting in Mach3 is to ignore tool changes. In Mach4, using a tool change macro (M6) by default will pause the g code, prompt you to change your tool, and then allow you to resume. The endless possibilities of configurations make the ability to create a “one size fits all” solution impractical. If an auto tool changer is required, it will need to be designed and implemented. This will include creating any custom scripts necessary to pass information to and from Mach3/Mach4. There are many example scripts available on the forum to help complete this task.
